Pop diva Mariah Carey is top of the Christmas streaming charts with her 1994 classic All I Want for Christmas is You.
Despite being over 20 years old, the timeless track is the most downloaded festive tune of the year on Amazon Music.
According to the online giant’s research, Christmas mad music fans started downloading Mariah’s song as early as August 15.
And with the nation in a nostalgic mood, the survey found Wham!’s smash hit Last Christmas which was released 32 years ago was the second most sought after song.
WHAM! in Last Christmas
Incredibly the 1973 Slade sing-a-long Merry Christmas Everybody took third with the top ten dominated by golden oldies including Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? and Lonely This Christmas by Mud.
Steve Boom, vice president Amazon Music said: “Alongside some of the classics, subscribers are streaming a real mix of artists making our top 20 streamed Christmas songs, including the likes of Coldplay , Lily Allen , Tom Jones and Bruce Springsteen .”
